The standard PPE set for the winter season includes:

▪️Insulated boots or work boots (artificial fur lining);

▪️Insulated thermal underwear;

▪️Insulated leather (or cotton) gloves;

▪️Insulated helmet liner and ushanka hat with helmet fasteners.

Depending on working conditions and the nature of the work performed, the PPE set may vary. For example, port fleet employees are issued suits that provide moisture protection in both winter and summer.

Tuapse is the only terminal where winter workwear has not yet been issued, with distribution beginning in mid-November. The climate transitions from temperate to subtropical, with an average annual temperature of 13°C. During the coldest months, January and February, the average monthly temperature is around 5°C.

This growth in cargo handling is driven by a higher share of large-capacity vessels, following a reduction in small-tonnage fleet operations.

In 2024, a commission of Port Alliance specialists, together with experts from the company’s ports and terminals, conducted inspections at Maly Port, Daltransugol Terminal, and Tuapse Bulk Terminal.

The inspections highlighted not only violations and observations but also the achievements and strengths of each facility:

▪️At Daltransugol, the commission noted the excellent organization of employee training and the impeccable maintenance of occupational safety logs within the railway operations division;

▪️At Murmansk Commercial Seaport, employees received prescription eye PPE, and the specialists also highlighted the use of innovative projectors for road markings and extensive visual safety materials.
